This school is an amazing place; there’s nothing else quite like it, and I am so grateful to be part of an organization where truth, goodness, and beauty are on full display. Our students have been given an invaluable gift. As a result, students are prepared for a life of meaning and purpose.
In order to be prepared for life, we must learn difficult lessons. We must be faced with and overcome challenges. We must learn to embrace virtue and shun vice so that we may be virtuous and not vicious. Mae Carden wrote, “It is impossible to make life easy for your children. Each child must meet his own problems. Therefore, the most important thing you can do is equip him to do so.” (Carden, Let’s Bring Them Up Sensibly, p. 49)
