Applications for admittance to Carden Memorial School are accepted after interested parents visit the school and have met with Mr. Taylor, the Headmaster. There is a non-refundable $50 application fee due with each application submitted. Parents are encouraged to submit applications in advance as waiting lists often form months in advance. Applicants may be interviewed after March and interviews will continue as long as space is available. Student interviews are conducted by current teachers and are used to assess both the academic and social aptitude for admittance into Carden Memorial School. After the interview, parents are informed of the general evaluation of their student, but admittance decisions are not made at that time. When space becomes available, the school's board of directors and the headmaster review available applications and select students. First Grade (Lower Preparatory) through Eighth Grade (E Form) Students who are admitted into Carden Memorial School are required to attend the one week summer orientation for new students (usually held the last week of June). Additional tutoring may be required in preparation for beginning of the academic year. |
